Where sports meets a love of words
Growing up in an athletic family while playing competitive sports gave me an innate respect for the game. At the same time, with both my mother and grandmother being English teachers, words and literature were in my blood. That intersection ignited my passion for sports journalism. While I cover breaking game recaps and scores, my true love lies in athlete profile features that unearth who these players really are beneath their jerseys.
Highlights from the field and studio
My career in sports media has already delivered unforgettable milestones. From appearing live on the Paul Finebaum Show on the SEC Network to reporting on-site at SEC Media Days, I thrive under the bright lights of live production. I have also built my own creative platform by launching and hosting a weekly live sports podcast, developing content from concept to air every week.
Life outside the press box and looking forward
When I step away from the stadium lights and press credentials, you can usually find me unwinding with a good book or walking along the scenic campus lake with my roommates. As an out-of-state student, pursuing a career in sports media brings significant travel and educational expenses. Winning this scholarship directly enables me to attend high-impact reporting events, broaden my field coverage, and take the next leap in professional sports broadcasting.
